Buttermilk Drop Biscuits
Ingredients
Yields 8-10 biscuits
2 cups White Lily Flour All-Purpose Flour
1 TBL baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
6 TBL unsalted butter
1 cup buttermilk
Method
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
Cut butter into pieces and cut into the flour. Break the butter up with your hands and mix into the flour. The butter pieces should be the size of a pea.
Mix 1 cup of buttermilk into flour and butter. Mix gently just until incorporated.
Spray a ¼ cup measuring cup with cooking spray and use it to scoop the biscuits onto a sheet tray lined with parchment paper sprayed with cooking oil.
Brush the biscuits with buttermilk and bake in the oven for 13-16 minutes until golden on top and bottom.
